Craig High School Sculpture Garden
The Exploring the Arts class spent two weeks in the spring of the 2013 school year constructing a recycled sculpture that was inspired by the work of Dale Chihuly.
It is made of nearly one hundred recycled water bottles that have been colored with permanent marker and fastened to a chicken wire frame. Students and staff involved in the class collaborated to complete this beautiful piece of environmentally friendly artwork. The students especially enjoyed watching how the sculpture grew bigger and bigger as we added completed bottles.
Though the sculpture has faded and changed over the years since it was created, it is still a unique piece of art that moves and changes with the environment.
